THE LAST NIGHT

So we went back to the campsite passing quite alot of hostile looking security with shields and helmets on. Drank the remainder of our beer, and went to the hill, where it was packed and people were trying to out-do eachother on the crazy scale by going down the hill in different things. The best was a big Biffa bin, it went about 20mph! The guy was knocked out for a while.
Then it was off to the cider tent for a rave, and cider of course. We looked over the yellow campsite to see a MASSIVE inferno with a tree in the middle, it was on fire! We ran over, there were no security, so on went the gas cannisters. People brought tents, gazeebo's, beds...the works. Then they started to climb the tree to get some branches, i cant actually describe how awesome it was to watch people up a tree ripping it to shreds and shaking it, whilst being toasted by explosions every few seconds!
We saw another fire and what looked like security blocking off an entrance to Yellow bubble campsite. So we went to check it out. Sure enough, there were security, getting PELTED by glass bottles, plastic bottles, tent poles, flags, barbecues, chairs, wood...every object under the sun. Apparently they had beaten up a couple of 16 year old kids and had flattened some girls who wanted to get to their tent. This was a full blown fucking riot. Not like last year, this was out of hand. The riot police charged at people intermittently and really were just fucking animals, brutalising people with shiels and steel toe caps. My girlfriend has the bruise the size of Egypt on her leg for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It escalated, we burned down lamp-posts, and soon there was no electricity in the yellow campsite, no lights...nothing. The police kept charging so we got a battering ram in the form of a lamp-post...but they stole it off us and beat us down some more. At about 4.30 in the morning we walked back to Orange where we were camped.

we heard drums coming from the hill...this riot was 100 times more out of hand than the one in yellow, and there were no security in sight! People put picnic benches on the fire, and gazeebos, plus stolen fire extinguishers and gas cannisters. The cider tent where we were raving just a few hours ago was being pulled down and set on fire. It was getting way out of hand.
To tip the night off, everybody broke the windows of the Carling beer stall where you get your crates. Round the back there were 3 FULL REFRIGERATED CONTAINERS of ice cold beer. Before i knew it, the doors were ripped off and there were people handing out free ice cold crates to everybody. I would estimate about 300 people got away with at least one crate, because by the end...there was nothing left in there! 3 full massive containers stolen, looted. Thats tens of thousands of money, taken from under their noses. Security knew they were outnumbered and they stayed well away. I walked out with 2 crates and all my mates did too. So we took home about 20 crates today...for free

I went back to the campsite, passed out, woke up 2 hours later. Then burnt our tents so we didnt have to carry them back with us! I got back at 6ish because of traffic leaving the festival.

It was the most fun out of all the 3 years that I have been. However, i severely doubt that they will get their licence back for Leeds 2006. So I guess I'll see you all at Reading next year!

I also bumped into Boz (Misfit) off here on several occasions and chatted about stuff that I can't remember. He is pretty safe as fuck.

If you read this, thanks If you didn't, Thanks
x
