Emo perspective

Well, 2004 being my second year but first time staying the full weekend (we
only got friday tickets last year) was so amazing, the amount of bands i
heard at reading then buying their CDs has increased dramatically. i went
with two friends and met a few guys i knew there. setting up tents in the
mud was not the easiest of things but we somehow managed it. i think the
worst thing was having to sit on plastic bags most of the time, we spend so
much money buying bin liners, that we had to leave everywhere coz they were
so muddy. or not being able to lie back and watch the fireworks and drunk
people flying through the air when you were at your tent, i think the first
time i actually sat down wsa the last day on my friends fishing chair! bad
backs all round.

The toilets of corse- ew, trying to get to the toilets- also ew, we fell
over so many times trying to release our feet from the ever growing mud
baths surrounding the tents and toilets.
the brown camp, really was just brown! we went to see my friends who were
staying there and literally everything was covered in mud, including them.
bless them! green wasnt too bad, we ended up staying there, i think we stole
most of the hay they were giving out, looked more like a barn than a field
by the end of it.
the bands were phenomenal too, greenday totally rocked, i was so impressed.
the darkness, as always put on a good show and flogging molly (who should
have been on the main stage!) were wicked. cant wait til the summer, the
pixies are gona rock!

Joey
