Razorlight
Razorlight dabbed the final strokes of carefully placed brilliance to a masterpiece of a set with a stunning rendition of In the City. In the song lead singer Johnny Borvell thoughtfully screams " Johnny's shadows getting long but he keeps on singing," which aptly defined the large Razorlight shaped shadow that engulfged the main stage, firmly securing any ideas of them being one of Britians most promising young bands. Razorlight walk, talk and sound every inch the rock stars they are destined to become. Their on stage arrogance is compeling, their talk is minimul and their sound is innovative and original. The culmination of these elements was gratefuly lapped up by a thrilled main stage crowd who were treated to a giant helping of complete attitude. Razorlight's debut album Up All Night has recieved wonderful reviews and provided the band with the majority of their set list. The album comments "to be played at maximum volume" and that is exactly what they did, popular tracks such as Golden Touch, Stumble And Fall and the soon to be released Vice were played with electric intensity, the swanky riffs and poigniant lyrics were imitated by a captivated crowd. People danced, people sang, people smiled and most of all people were moved by the truly memorable performance. Walking away from the main stage at the finale of their set a friend summed up the experience perfectly, simply shouting "Wow! we can say we have seen them live." and boy they were good.
